The WebTrain Environment

Organisations deciding to go "online" face an enormous number of questions about themselves, their staff, their IT infrastructure, their software tools, their committment to excellence, whether it is going to work, is it cost effective etc.

There are only 2 ways of looking at how you select an "E-Learning" system:

1. Find out what tools are out there and "make do" (produce education and training outcomes based on what the hardware and software can do for you)

2. Determine what education and training outcomes you want to achieve and then find a tool that allows you to alter the environment to suit your needs.

When you introduce software into an organisation, you must consider the staff development implications of the implementation.

In the vast majority of cases, it is necessary to train your staff in how to use new software. Not so with WebTrain. It figures out who you are, where you are, and what tools you need at that point in time. In effect, rather that you having to find the necessary tools, the necessary tools find you.

WebTrain is a new WWW language that allows you to create your own learning management system specifically aimed at your outcomes, not what existing technology can do.
